No one except God doesn't know everything about our earth. But many of us don't know some common information about earth. I will try to give you some of it.
1. The age of earth is approximately 4.543 billion years.
2. The radius of earth is 6,371 kilometers (3,959 mi).
3. The area of earth is 196.9 million mi².
4. The mass of earth is 5.972 × 10^24 kg.
5. The total population of earth is approximately 7.125 billion ( According to World Bank-2013 ).
6. Earth's distance from sun is approximately 92.96 million mi.
7. There are 196 countries in the world.
8. There are seven landmasses on the planet. Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Antarctica. A few geographers list just six landmasses, consolidating Europe and Asia into Eurasia.
9. There are four named oceans in the world. The Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Arctic. However, most countries - including the United States - now recognize the Southern (Antarctic) as the fifth ocean. The Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian are known as the three major oceans.
10. The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world.
11. Russia is the largest country in the world. It's area is 17,075,200 sq.km.
12. Asia is the largest continent in the world.
13. Tokyo (Japan) is the largest city in the world.
14. The salty Caspian Sea is the largest lake in the world. It has the greatest surface area of any lake at 143,200 square miles (370,886 square kilometers).
15. Vatican City is the smallest country in the world.
16. Sahara is the largest desert in the world by area. It's area is 9,000,000+ sq.km or 3,300,000+ sq.mi.
17. The largest tree in the world is a giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) in California's Sequoia National Park. The tree is about 52,500 cubic feet (1,487 cubic meters) in volume.
18. Cox's Bazar sea beach is the longest sea beach in the world. It is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope.
19. The world's largest station by platforms is Grand Central Terminal in New York City with 44 platforms.
20. Oasis-class cruise ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas are the largest passenger ships ever built.
